Is call recording allowed in the UK?

Yes, under PECR and UK GDPR with appropriate transparency. voiceOne plays the consent prompt automatically, logs consent in the audit trail, and offers an opt-out key (e.g. 0). Without consent, the call is NOT recorded. ROPA template included.

How long are recordings stored?

Default 90 days. Configurable in 30-day steps up to 10 years (e.g. for FCA sales evidence). Auto-deletion at expiry.

What about the right to erasure?

On subject request, recording and transcript are deleted within 30 days. Audit log documents deletion. Active disputes can place a hold.

Who can listen to recordings?

Default: call owner and admins. Roles can be extended (e.g. trainers for coaching). Every access is logged.

How accurate is the transcription?

UK English standard: 94-97 % word accuracy. Strong regional accent / jargon: 88-92 %. You can correct word by word — corrections improve the tenant-specific model.

What does recording cost extra?

Can I retroactively turn on recording?

Recording requires consent BEFORE the call starts. If the caller consents mid-call, recording starts from that point forward — never retroactively.
